We’re a fairly informal running group. We get together and run. After the runs we like to go out for a coffee, beer, meal or any excuse to sit around and socialize. We’re open to everyone with no minimum running distances or speeds. The best way to find out where we’re running is to sign-up on our MeetUp page (it’s free and takes less than 10 minutes). See you at a run soon.
Once you’ve run with us a few times, you might want to become a BAR Ambassador. For a small membership fee, you can become a voting member of BAR and help guide the direction of the club. To sign up, visit our registration page. Being a BAR ambassador is a way to help support the club but is not required to join us on our runs.
Another way to support the club is by donating to our “Raise the BAR” fund.
BAR Board Notes
The Boise Area Runners is transitioning to a 501c3 not-for-profit organization. The member-elected board meets once a month to plan runs, coordinate retreats and work on the 501c3 application process. These meetings are open to any member to observe and we have quarterly all-member meetings to vote on changes and discuss new directions for the club. Board meeting notes can be viewed on the Board Google Site.
